Summer in Ohio offers several great opportunities to chase different species on the fly. Aggressive resident Smallmouth Bass are plentiful with opportunities to a catch trophy for the lucky angler. Opportunities to catch weary Carp are also available. These big golden fish offer amazing sight fishing opportunities and are one of the hardest fighting fish Ohio has to offer.

Fall offers a diverse set of fishing opportunities in Northeast Ohio. With colder nights and winter weather on the horizon, Pike and Smallmouth look to fill their bellies before winter’s cold water temps. Chrome lake run steelhead begin to make their way into our tributaries as water temps fall providing anglers with a great opportunity to get an early chance at these silver bullets.

Ohio’s winters bring cold winds, ice, and snow. With the harsh weather comes fresh pushes of great lakes steelhead and less crowded rivers as the fair weather anglers stay warm inside. Tranquil, crowd free days on the water with plenty of fish in the rivers are why winter is our favorite time to chase these Ohio chromers.
